My first choice of remix was Blue Monday, by New Order. My reasoning behind using this song first is that it uses techniques and studio methods that are still carried out into modern music. This song is the base example to show off the capabilities of synthesizers, sequencers and drum machines, all of which were used to drag Manchester, and music in the UK itself, away from guitars and amps and into the electronic age.

My remix heavily incorperates arpeggition into the song in ways to pad out the sound, create new lead instruments and to provide thicker texture and dynamic to the piece.
